Roger Vivier Presents a Special Collaboration with Virgilio Villoresi
The Flower Blossom styles bring some vibrancy and colour into the new season.
A Tribute to Nature
The Roger Vivier Spring/Summer 2021 collection is all about flowers blooming and the beauty of nature. In a meeting of visionary minds, Roger Vivier Creative Director Gherardo Felloni collaborates with Italian film director Virgilio Villoresi in a new series of campaigns that literally brings the new collection to life. Known for his stop-motion animation films, Villoresi is a fusion of varied interests and inclinations. For this special project with Roger Vivier, Felloni calls on Villoresi’s unique approach to interpret key pieces from the new Spring/Summer 2021 collection. The flower motif has always been a part of the Maison’s history and, for the new season, Felloni gives his own take on florals, creating shoes, bags and accessories that signal a rebirth. The skill of Roger Vivier’s artisans is brought to the forefront with the stunning craftsmanship of key pieces in the collection. Shoes get ready for spring, with the new I Love Vivier pumps and the Vivier Blossom sandals. Reminiscent of wild blooms growing on vines, the Vivier Blossom sandals feature hand-painted flowers on the leather straps and the fronts of the shoes. The beloved I Love Vivier pumps also get the floral treatment as their distinct front décolleté is embellished with detailed flowers that are all embroidered and painted by hand.
The Artisan's Canvas
Spring/Summer’s must-have accessory is the Miss Vivier Blossom bag. It becomes an artist’s canvas, covered with colors and flowers, hand painted by the Maison’s craftsmen in incredible, precise detail. With its expert construction and distinct shape, Felloni gives this signature bag a new look with his beautiful floral designs that pop out in vivid colour. The Miss Vivier Blossom bag also stands out with its three mini Broche buckles and ensemble of crystals on the shoulder strap, all meticulously hand-sewn by artisans. The elements of the films are colourful and fun, the music playful as the shoes and bags move animatedly through this alternate Vivier universe, telling their own stories.
