The Viv’ Canard Spring Debut

Discover the history behind a timeless style from the archives

A contemporary heritage

Gherardo Felloni draws inspiration from Maison Vivier's rich history to craft the latest Spring-Summer 2024 icon: the Viv’ Canard. Inspired by a 1950s design from Monsieur Vivier, preserved in the private collections of the Musée des Arts Décoratifs, Paris, this reinterpretation blends timeless craftsmanship with a contemporary vision. The new Viv’ Canard exemplifies a modernized elegance that will leave a lasting impression on collections to come.

The revival of the Viv’ Canard

A contemporary twist

Reinterpreting a legend

The feminine silhouette of the Viv’ Canard is defined by soft yet angular contours, while playful elements subtly evoke the distinctive shape of a duck’s bill, from which the style draws its name. Contrasting piping elegantly traces from the buckled strap forming the slingback, matching the hue of the kitten heel. The toe is curved and elongated, tapering in at the tip with a square edge. Designed in satin, patent leather, or shimmering sequins, each pair is adorned with square buckles in various sizes and a red, heart-shaped insole – a testament to Roger Vivier's artistic imagination.
